We fixed this by messing with the spectrum. By switching up the filament alloys and the quartz envelopes, we basically filter out those aggressive light peaks. The result? A “soft light” feel. You still get all that cozy warmth hitting your skin, but you aren’t squinting the whole time you’re drying off. It’s much easier on the eyes. Dealing with the steam Now, the IP55 part just means the thing can handle dust and those stray splashes of water. We seal the electrical bits and the housing tight so moisture can’t sneak in and fry the filaments. Plus, we shaped the housing to push heat away from the internal wiring, so the unit doesn’t cook itself from the inside out. The honest trade-offs Look, nothing is perfect. To get that eye-safe light, we had to make a small compromise on speed. You won’t get that “instant” blast of heat you find with uncoated tubes. Instead, the temperature climbs a bit more steadily. Honestly, it’s better that way—it feels more natural and it’s safer if you’re standing close to the unit. One quick tip if you’re installing these in a really steamy room: double-check your circuit breakers. These elements have a bit of an initial power surge when they kick on, and you don’t want your power tripping just because you wanted a warm bathroom.
